Fri: Work, choir practice = slept late
Sat: Out with dot, revival meeting + sisters went crazy eating and watching princess diaries = slept late
Sun: Church, choir practice, dinner, Cantare 07 :) = slept late
Mon: Work, concert at UCC = will sleep late
O.o Guess I'm still a little girl at heart.. I'm tired and I need my sleep! Bah. Was almost gonna drift off to sleep as I laid my head upon my desk before everyone came into the office, then my colleague came in and switched on her radio. Sigheths. I know I'm not supposed to sleep la.. :P
Random thoughts..
I don't want to be a Martha, I never intend to be... but I almost always end up being one, not enjoying whatever I'm doing. The work just overwhelms the supposed fun. But at least others seem to be doing fine.. I wouldn't want them to feel bored. Hope I can think of more ways to make things more fun and interesting.
Dot's a crazy shopping queen! Going out with her is bad for my wallet's health. Eeyer.. Haha but well nevertheless it was fun. Shopping with the best friend is the best :D Of course not to mention she laughs at err.. Many things I say and do. I'm so funny meh? -_^
The speaker at the revival meeting was really good. Things he said struck a chord in my heart. Plus I think he confirmed something I'd read somewhere.. :) I need more faith.. I need to believe and trust in God!
Yesterday I met up with Kane, Kayi, Woon, Clement and Tammy for dinner before Cantare. As usual they tried to push the decision on where to eat to me!! But in the end someone suggested Thai Express as we were walking and we headed there. :) Reached Esplanade obscenely early so the 5 of us sat there and talked.. did some good catching up with Kane (poor Kayi was jetlagged and super tired). Ah I miss talking to him! Haha.. ehh meet up more often leh.. someone very free right? :P
Watched the concert.. Though I think our row was just watching and waiting for HCV to go on stage :D I guess it was a new experience.. I'd watched them carol when I couldn't sing, but this time I was watching a proper concert! And it was weird in a way, Woon summed it up with her "We should be up there singing!" Yeahh.. but oh well. It was suuuper nice seeing everyone again! Karl, Aaron and Kokhong were watching too but they rushed off after concert. So in all there were... 18 J4s there! Yay we rock. Kudos to the happy couple who did their solos!!! Zai indeed. :) Tigger and Eeyore eh :P :P
Too bad I couldn't have supper after, Lippy still said "Yeah, talk later" -_- and inside I knew there wasn't gonna be any later haha! As much as I wanted to, my practical side told me I needed sleep for work the next day (Eh, I DO have things to do lo.... not always slack k! :P) and I had a curfew too! So blahness, I left while everyone was still talking to *ahem, the one whose name can be googled :P* and walked to cityhall. All by my lonesome self, boo hoo hoo. Seriously, I'd never felt so alone after I'd left my familiar, dear ol' friends. So I called who else but the best friend for some companionship on the way home. :)
What would I do without good ol' dottos eh.. :) Thank God I have her to share the good times and the bad times. Especially now, I can't imagine doing the choir all by myself. Well, maybe I'm sorta doing it on my own, but I'm grateful that she's in it too, that we can be there for each other! To 'share' the impact of the 'hits' before we disseminate them down to the choir and band.. :) Thanks, you. Loves lots! :) :) :)

They're playing our song! OOTGRians, they're playing the song we sang at farewell on the radio!
My word I looooooove 90.5FM they play classic songs man. :)
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday
How do I say goodbye to what we had?
The good times that made us laugh
Outweigh the bad.
I thought we'd get to see forever
But forever's gone away
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
I don't know where this road
Is going to lead
All I know is where we've been
And what we've been through.
If we get to see tomorrow
I hope it's worth all the wait
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

it has ended.our whirlwind, brief encounter with choir has ended.
i didn't feel the impact so much during choral pres, or farewell.
but after our last performance.. seeing everyone pack up and leave after the concert, it hit me.
that i'll never be singing with this complete bunch ever again.
that i'll never again feel the way i felt when i sang with them.
that i'll never again rush to the avt after class, eating lunch or on saturday mornings.
that i'll never ever spend so much time with them again.
that the late nights we had practising, having dinner or just being with each other are no more.
i'll miss choir, and the people, so, so much.
May I say that memories are terrible things. On impulse during a lull at work, I hit on the archives button, going thru July & Dec 04, May & July 05.. significant months. And I stopped at July 05.. literally stopped everything. As I read I got 'sucked in' and stopped working! Haha... Mymy.
I could literally feel all the emotions wash over me again... from the tiredness of practices to the exhilaration of achieving our goals to the eventual loss of parting. What a rollercoaster ride eh?
I'm not being melancholic, or dwelling on past things, or 'emo'.. (Gideon's new fave word eh).
I just realize once more that choir had and probably has, an irreplaceable place in my heart.
I want to sing, yet I can't, and I'm not super eager to face all the practices again. Typical me, getting my feelings all jumbled up. But one thing I'm sure of... I'll return. When I'm ready, when the tonsils are fixed, when my commitments are all sorted out... I'll come back.
And I'll look forward to that day. :)

You're the Joy I know
The Treasure I hold dear
I burn for You
My eternal Love
Open arms
Welcome me close to Your heart
And there I long to stay
Mercy falls
Cleansing my life with Your blood
Whiter than the snow
I belong to You
Jesus my first Love
You're everything I'm living for
You're the Joy I know
The Treasure I hold dear
I burn for You
My eternal Love
Take my life
Join me forever with You
Make our hearts as one
Perfect love
Driving away all my fears
Freedom I find
I belong to You
Jesus my first Love
You're everything I'm living for
You're the joy I know
the treasure I hold dear
I burn for You
my eternal Love
Jesus my Love
Jesus, my eternal Love...
Take us back into Your arms, Lord. Bring us back to You, our first Love.
Take away all that distracts us from You, from spending time with You.
Bring us into Your loving embrace, for there is where we find peace, comfort, joy, love, strength and hope.
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord.

The godbrother and godsister have been entertaining each other at work since:
1. He can only access blogspot. Other websites are blocked (apparently).
2. He can tag on her tagboard.
3. They get bored, sometimes. :P
4. It's a better mode of communication than sms since it's free! Hoho. The only drawback is having to refresh the page countless times throughout the day. But hey, it's only a click of the mouse. :D
Who would have thought a tagboard would come in so handy? :P

Yesterday was fun! Grandpa made me drive myself to Shiwei's house (but it was still nice of him, else they'd have to come down to church anyways.) and for 2 hours we did nothing but slack. o.O ok, Susanti, Emma, Nuck and I slacked. Lingmin and Shiwei were slaving over the birthday boy's collage, but we couldn't help with our non-existant knowledge of adobe, could we? Plus, as Emma said, too many cooks spoil the broth. :P
Then the 4 of us went to TP to walk around, get some munchies and wait for Lingmin and Shiwei to finish up. We discovered that Nuck is superb at this stacking game! But the machine is out to cheat us all of our money. It makes it so easy to reach the minor level then practically impossible to reach the major level! And once you're past the minor level you're not entitled to any gift as long as you don't reach the major one.
Ok, that didn't make much sense. -_- But for those who wanna know, ask yeahhh :)
The collage turned out nice! But I still maintain that that photo is arghhh-ugly. Sneaky fellas! Hmpfs. Initially Shiwei didn't wanna drive cos he was tired, but Nuck's car was too small to fit 4 pple in the back! We tried and died. So Shiwei drove too and Emma and Nuck offered to 'share the load' when it came to the return journey, much to the indignation of us girls.
Whoa Nuck's car was niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. His was a true blue convertible! *screams* Ok, suaku-ness here cos I've never sat in a car with the top down, zooming along the expressway! Wah. Wah. It was a cool experience, save the super strong winds which messed with our hair. :P Susanti was so excited she wanted to stand la. Haha!
P ren's bday celebration was cool, we had fun eating, talking and laughing. We even wanted to play our own version of Jungle Speed using poker cards but it was time to cut the cake. Took many photos cos the celebration was in honour of the ULTIMATE photo-fan... and Cinderalla managed to reach home with her horse carriage (and nice memories of the day) intact! :)
Many thanks to the tired Shiwei who sent us 3 home to the doorstep! :) His reply when I asked him to drop me at the mrt so he wouldn't have to turn in was classic: 'If I'd wanted to do that, I wouldn't be here, I would have dropped you all off at Bishan already!'
Haha.. Thank God for blessing me with great friends. :) :)

When I asked him how he knew, he said some people had the look. They just did. And he stuck to his guns despite my looks of disbelief. I guess it's just like how certain people look like they're from certain schools, when we go into the working world, certain people have the look of certain occupations! Coolios.
It's also similar to us, children of God. When people look at us, can they see that we're different? Do we act differently, react to situations differently, speak and carry ourselves differently or are we just all the same? We're not of this world. Am I living my life as a child of the One most high or am I always concerned with the things of this world- especially my materialistic needs?
It's all too easy to blend in, but perhaps it's high time we start examining our lives. Am I living my life with eternity in mind, aware of my purpose in God or am I merely passing time? Wouldn't it be sad if, at the end of your stay here on earth, one of your friends remarks at your funeral, 'Oh, you mean he/she was a Christian? I didn't know!' o.O
So let's all strive to be different and lead godly lives... one way to do this is to always keep in mind the fruits of the Spirit!
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self-control
Which fruit haven't you eaten today? :P

but at least I know how to get the hot water now! :D
Meet my newest addition to my office supplies: Dee's trusty mp3 player! YAY. Now I don't have to listen to Chinese songs all day. :D :D Had a nice chat with the receptionist just now, think she's the first one in this company I've had a proper conversation with. I'm surprisingly quiet here you know. It's probably half due to the Chinese-speaking environment. I'm terrible at it! (Sorry Grandpa, I still have to say it.) Can't hold a proper conversation for nuts. And the other is cos everyone's doing their work and I'm isolated at one corner quietly doing my stuff. Hope it won't be too weird when I finally join 'em for lunch next week! :)
Dot called just now during her lunch break, and the sleepy one actually fell asleep during class! Bah. I NEARLY fell asleep just now, cos for some reason I kept yawning. But now I'm more awake after the nice talk so I'm fine! :)
By the way, did I mention the lady whose desk I'm currently occupying is a HUGE Korea fan? So everyday when I sit down at my desk I see 'Shin' smiling at me, and 3 posters of Kwon Sang Woo staring moodily in various directions. Plus a few stickers of other Korean stars and memorabilia from Korea plastered all over the cubicle. And she's obviously a person who loves cute stuff too, cos there're 4 teddy bears, 2 Hello Kittys, a Hello Kitty cup cover, 1 My Melody, 1 Minnie Mouse and 2 little dogs. o.O
And seriously, I'm undergoing the ultimate test today. One of the colleagues just bought back food for the one sitting on my right and the food smells so good and the aroma is so strong people outside can smell it. Oh my WORD. rahs.
I think I need to wear an oxygen mask.

Haha I think I can blog daily from here during lunchtime la. Though my colleauges probably think something is up (She's not eating again?!) Hurr... And the temperature in here is crazy. I wore a long sleeved top today and now I'm wearing a jacket over it! And it's just nice, I feel all warm and comfy. Madness. If Kane was reading this he'd widen his eyes in disbelief. Heh.
And speaking of Kane, we had a birthday celebration for the cute boy last fri! :D
We were msging the day before and I decided to ask him what he was gonna do on his birthday. Good thing too, cos it turned out he had nothing planned! Haha... so I decided to sms the choir batch and tada! A birthday outing was born. How cool, cos it was Kane who'd organized my birthday celebration last year! :D
We went to Settlers' Cafe at Holland V to play games and coincidentally, it was the exact location where we'd celebrated my brithday last year! But this time there were more people: Kane, Cyn, Charm, Fel, Woon, Tams, Song, Et and meself! :D
Played Jungle Speed (man we love that game :P), Halli Galli, Saboteur, some intelligent brain-using word game, icantrememberwhatelse and our traditional choir fave: TABOO! :) :)
Ah I love the choir people. Seeing everyone was like coming home. Although it wasn't all of us, and maybe we don't talk as often as we did, but it was the same old feeling. :) I was quite sad when it all ended and we had to go our separate ways, not knowing when we'd all gather together again. But there's one upcoming event: Cantare 2007! Excited I am. :) Jiayou you guys singing!
On a more solemn note, I was just thinking about the Taiwanese jet crash, and I wondered... what if one of my friends had died? Considering that Bran's life was mercifully spared (he was under the protection of God, I'm sure.), what if it was.....? Whoa that'd be bad. But I thank God my friends are all safe. What Daddy said was right, life is fragile. You'll never know when you'll be gone.
Lesson learnt?
Treasure your friends and family. Cliched, but extremely true. Cos you're the one who's gonna be regretting it badly when they're gone.

Morning!!!!!!! Hoho because I went to bed at 9 plus last night (due to a persistent headache) I am super cheery now! :D Normally I have to drag myself out of bed (and that's when I wake up at 11 plus am, mind you) but today Ma woke me up at 630am and I was raring to go! :D :D Praise the Lord.
I had breakfast lovingly prepared by Ma (oh, how relieved Dee and I were when she liked the t-shirt that we'd drawn for her! And GOOD THING I listened to Dee and didn't draw anything behind heh. :P) and then Daddy drove me all the way to the area around my workplace. Had a hot Milo (ah, my greatest love! other than my beloved Risograph, of course.) and he had prata! Woot. Walked to my workplace, filled up forms, was introduced to what I have to do (for now) and here I am!
Almost everyone is away at lunch so I'm free to blog. HARR. I'll bring my devos to work from now on! :) Thank God that everyone seems nice and all friendly! Phews.
Yesterday was my first time worship leading in main service and boy, did I feel that there were loads of expectations to live up to. But I really really wanna thank God for availing musicians and back-up singers to accompany me: Dot, Dee, Jason, Poof, Grandpa, Sam, Ser... they were really excellent. Thank YOUU to Grandpa who gave me encouraging smiles and his 'Sing to God' action, Josh for his thumbs up, Sam for reassuring me and the other 'You can do it!' smiles I saw. I'm blessed! :) Dot told me after that she could feel the presence of God during worship, amen! :) All glory goes to God.
And as temptations abound as everyone comes back with their da-baoed food, I remember:
Matthew 4:4
Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

And latest update: I FOUND A JOB! Correction, I got a job.
Many many thanks to Lee Noi who recommended me for one.
Well, it seems rather far away from the mrt but at least the pay's good! And it's gonna last me all the way till school starts so I'll have a steady income! Maybe it was a blessing in disguise that I was so unenthu about signing up as facis for the upcoming camps.
Thank You Lord for answering my prayers and for providing people who have blessed me! :)
I'll be starting next week, so there's only 4 days left of freedom! First time working thru the June hols. o.O
Yesterday was the celebration for Grandpa, and I don't have to say much since all the rest already posted the details on their blogs.. But thank goodness everything went smoothly, the late night/last min planning all worked out.. Nobody was too late, and the birthday boy had a pleasant surprise! Ha. I'm glad everyone liked the cafe. Yay to mslim who suggested it when we had exco dinner 2 years (ohmyword that's SO long ago) back!
Ok, gotta choose some songs now.. Lord, please guide me in the preparations! I need Your wisdom..

Unless the Lord watces over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.

Reach Out to Jesus
Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone?
Does the road you travel harbour dangers yet unknown?
Are you growing weary in the struggle of it all?
Jesus will help you when on His Name you call.
He is always there hearing every prayer, faithful and true.
Walking by our side, in His love we'll hide all the day through.
When you get discouraged just remember what to do
Reach out to Jesus- He's reaching out to you.
Is the life you're living filled with sorrow and despair?
Does the future press you with its worries and its care?
Are you tired and friendless,
Have you almost lost your way?
Jesus will help you, just call on Him today.
He is always there hearing every prayer, faithful and true.
Walking by our side, in His love we'll hide all the day through.
When you get discouraged just remember what to do
Reach out to Jesus- He's reaching out to you.

BAH.
I am bored. So bored.
Sitting at home the whole day is really bad for the mind.
I need to go to the library and borrow some books!!!!!
I have things to do, but I still feel bored.
As a result I end up doing anything but the things I have to get done. (Sorry Chris!! I'm definitely finishing the summarizing today though.)
Extreme boredom is setting in real quick now. Take a look at my friends' nicks on msn and you'll know. Haha.. we all have nothing to do!
I need a job, sooooo badly. Why is no one getting back to me!! :/
And if I don't find something constructive to occupy my time with, my face will soon be permanently set like this:
